From the courts to the tennis balls, the lines of tennis surround the players, a well-defined framework governing sets and matches. In Clara Daguin’s universe, however, these lines transcend rules and constraints, becoming fluid, porous, and ephemeral. In the Lacoste LightClub, the player, now transformed into the visitor, is invited to interact with these arabesque’s, making them their own. The court expands, giving way to imagination; the lines dissolve, enveloping these spectators in a luminous halo.

The artwork consists of two luminous and interactive elements: a “clay court tapestry” with fluid, shifting lines and a “tennis ball silhouette.” The interaction of the ball and court reshapes the lights within each piece, reacting to movement and presence.
